Academic Year 2024/2025
Students selected for the Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship for the 2024/2025 Academic Year are instructed to carefully follow the guidelines below to process their payments.
Step-by-Step Registration Process
- Access the Portal
Visit the official portal at https://mahapola.lk/BankApp2025/ and log in using your Mahapola Scholarship Number and National Identity Card (NIC) Number.
- Complete & Submit Online
Fill out the Bank Account Registration Form online and submit it directly to the Mahapola Trust Fund via the portal.
- Submit Physical Documents
- Print a copy of your completed online application and sign it.
- Attach a clear photocopy of your bank passbook.
- Have your bank passbook copy certified by your Faculty Administrative Officer (DR / SAR / AR).
- Submit the complete set of documents to your Faculty.
Submission Deadline:
All completed physical documents must be submitted to your Faculty on or before 15 August 2026.
Critical Guidelines
- Approved Banks Only: Only individual accounts from People’s Bank or Bank of Ceylon (BOC) are accepted.
- No Joint Accounts: Joint bank accounts are strictly prohibited.
- Account Changes: Do not alter your bank account details after submission. Unauthorized changes will result in the immediate suspension of your scholarship disbursements.
Appeals Process
Students who were not selected for the Mahapola scholarship should be forwarded to the University Grants Commission on or before 15 October 2026.
